Happy New Year ~from Liz

When we shine we shine together
making it so much better
than shining all alone.

Love these words! Spied them recently in a tweet by Damien B. Donnelly, my Irish poet/writer friend who blogs at Deuxiemepeau Poetry.

And lovely bright shining flowers. Taken by Nigel a few months ago at Dunedin Botanic Garden, New Zealand. Euphorbia polychroma ‘Midas’.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. Best wishes for 2021!
Love, joy, peace to you all.

Stay strong, take care of yourselves and each other.
Hoping things will be better and brighter, in 2021.

  1. Your Euphorbia are making me euphoric; the color is so bright and cheerful. I’ve so enjoyed learning about your part of the world, and especially seeing the connections between some of your plants and ours. Here’s to an even better year of sharing; I hope it’s a prosperous and happy new year for you and Nigel.

    1. Prosperous would be welcome 😀 Thanks Linda. I love your reference to euphoric, that hadn’t entered my head but I did feel euphoric when I saw it! It was early in the season when there weren’t many bright flowers. To an even better year of sharing … perfect!

  3. You’ve already moved into the New Year, Liz, while we have almost 16 hours to go. Happy New Year to you and to Nigel. I really loveDamien’s words that you cited–a light in the darkness can make a huge difference and I think that we all have collectively tried to keep those lights burning this past year by our support and encouragement for one another. Without a doubt the blogging community has helped me to maintain my mental and emotional well-being during a period of forced physical isolation. I often marvel at the way that we have created worldwide connections. Best wishes, Liz, to you and to Nigel for a happy and healthy new year.
