You’ve caught up! all in the same year now 🙂 Hope 2022 will be a better year | Re the pic when the sun lights up the mistletoe it’s amazing, like hot embers!
What a charming and festive flower with its brilliant red spikes! It will be 2022 in less than three hours here in little Rhode Island. The distant sounds of fireworks and the glorious bursts of color in the sky will be enjoyed from the safety of my deck again this year. But for now, an Irish toast to Nigel and yourself with a raised goblet of Gala Merlot-Frankovka Rose from Moravia in the Czech Republic : “In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship, but never in want.” Happy New Year! Thank-you!
I’m very touched by your Irish toast, such a beautiful sentiment. I’m thinking of you there at Rhode Island with your lovely Rose, getting a glimpse of the fireworks in the dark night and welcoming in the new year 🙂 Take care and stay strong Grandmother Ellen, you’re such a joy my friend. Best wishes for 2022! Happy New Year from us both xx
Love those mistletoe flowers! I saw the headlines this morning that you had reached 2022, Happy New Year, Liz! We’ll be in the new year in 3.5 hours. 🙂
Thank you Robert! I see you’ve a few hours to go even yet. I’m delighted you gave your location, I’d wanted to tell Nigel where you’re based. We’re both aware of your Upstate New York connection and I vaguely recalled the geography of where you’re based but not the actual place. I didn’t realise the state of Wisconsin is right up north there. An Episcopal bishop from Wisconsin I follow on FB sometimes posts photos of churches/landscapes from the state and it looks such a beautiful area! Best wishes for 2022 Robert and I hope you stay safe and well. Happy New Year!
Those are all wonderful things Madeline, thanks so much and my hope for you in 2022 is that you’ll enjoy those same blessings too! Love it that we’ve met up in this blogosphere 🙂
The mistletoe flowers and leaves were glowing wonderfully in the sunshine, that was on Boxing Day and they did remind me of bright red firecrackers! I hope 2022 will be a cracker of a year, it feels great to leave the old year behind and start on the new! In a few hours you’ll be there too, have a wonderful 2022 🙂
Happy New Year, Liz and Nigel. Love that red glow.
