Ettrick Santa

Boxing Day afternoon we drove to Ettrick in search of a hay display I'd heard about via a person on Mastodon and I guess it's this! Plus a view down the hillside on the steep descent from Moa Flat to Ettrick taken by Nigel. Central Otago, New Zealand.

Christmas Moa

Yesterday at Moa Flat, West Otago, New Zealand. This is our favourite route when we go to Roxburgh so we see this moa a lot. First two taken this morning at Gore Gardens.. white bell flowers and tiny pink blurs of Heuchera flowers. Then Cotinus or smokebush partly catching the light. And then (taken 22 Dec) native mistletoe, and astelia berries, Black Gully near... Continue Reading →

Take A Bough

They have a leisurely life.. these post people at Lake Roxburgh village, Central Otago, New Zealand. Interesting use of a street tree! 03 Mar 2022.

Every dog has his day

So they say.. and this one was having a 'reindeer' day. From my 2021 files, these photos were taken 24 December. The cute dog was running around with similarly 'dressed' canine companions near Millers Flat, and I took the rural landscape pics the same afternoon as we returned home via Moa Flat. New Zealand. ~... Continue Reading →
