The Little Stone Church

The first church featured below had St Andrew's | "The Little Stone Church" printed on its sign board. The second stone church was located very near. Neither were open to enter but they were lovely to look at from the outside. I found them while walking to Old Cromwell Town, an historic precinct.. both churches... Continue Reading →

Hidden Colour

Hidden Colour. Glimpses of bright colour through trees revealed the presence of these colourful tulips - they were further along the same road as my recent big tulip-block photos - but single fields - and on the opposite side of the road. Spectacular colour in a region where dull earthy tones are the unwritten 'dress code' for attending an on-farm event! 🙂 From a 2021 ODT article... Continue Reading →

On The Bright Side

Another huge striped tulip field - I'd walked along my side of the fence to the far end, looking at the colours and taking photos with the aim of reaching this bright colour stripe that I could see at the end. Unbelievable colour but it's for real, and alongside were some very pretty pink-and-white tulips.... Continue Reading →

Lovells Flat Church

We've lived down south for years now and I never knew about a gorgeous rural church among farm fields at Lovells Flat! I spotted the steeple today while we were driving, and by returning to a gravel side road we'd just passed, we were able to make it to the church. This is a Presbyterian... Continue Reading →
