Introducing you to Huffy Puffy the handsome white male turkey that inhabits an animal enclosure at Queens Park in Invercargill. I've only posted a  Bum Photo  of this delightful bird before but during our visit yesterday he again came over to us and showed us his fine plumage. He doesn't seem to have much luck... Along For The Ride

Man's best friend was along for the ride on this steam engine that I was watching go by at the Southland Steam Engine Club rally at Brydone near Gore, 09 Feb 2019. I couldn't see the dog until the engine had passed me, then I caught sight of it on the back. After the engine... Continue Reading →

Blown Away

We were blown away this morning by an incredible coincidence... as Nigel says, "unreal". We'd gone to Dunedin yesterday and stayed in a motel overnight near the Botanic Gardens. This morning Nigel and I were enjoying coffee and sitting near the open ranch slider of our ground floor unit. Nigel was looking at the online... Continue Reading →

Mans Best Friend

Its held in the Gore Public Gardens and there was a range of stalls and quite a few people given the rainy weather we've had today. I noticed this colourful clown coming towards me and loved her amazing costume. Shadow the... Continue Reading →

Fortrose: Part Five

We'd walked along the beach and found a gravel road running parallel. We decided to do the rest of our walk by road and found there were plenty of interesting things to see along the road. Liz and Nigel, Sunday 05 August 2018

Out in the Countryside

After leaving Tapanui on Sunday afternoon we drove out into the country and decided to head for the small village of Waikaka. We explored up a gravel road named Bushy Park Road and I took this roadside photo of a hawthorn with red berries, there's also a lovely view down over the plains. Photos taken... Continue Reading →

My SO has his office in a lovely shared office space in Dunedin, New Zealand. Here the building owner's dog is hogging the heater on a very cold winter's day (12 July 2017). We had snow, ice, hail, rain and even the very occasional burst of sunshine! Its an historic building that's been recently modernised... Continue Reading →
