Little Lemon Rose

Found this gorgeous early rose loaded with cute little lemon-coloured blooms in the Jessie Calder Garden (old roses), Queens Park, Invercargill on 17 October 2020. This was the only rose making an impact, others had barely started. Southland, New Zealand. Click on any photo to enlarge Text and photos by Liz; Exploring Colour (2020)

There are also many brightly coloured flowers in the gardens but those photos are... Continue Reading →

I've only done the briefest of research but it appears to have originated at Heronswood, Hobart (Tasmania, Australia) in 1993 and is said to have "resulted from a chance cross... Continue Reading →
