Mostly White

We drove past this property on Sunday and as we whizzed past I realised we'd just gone by a boundary frontage planted in white Agapanthus, blooming nicely. This morning Nigel took me back so I could get photos. It's a tiny locality not far from Tapanui, rural with 2 or 3 residences and a hall,... Continue Reading →

White Agapanthus

Following on from Hedge with an Edge, these photos are from the Agapanthus hedge that extends along the property frontage starting on the other side of the entrance.

Hedge with an Edge

Yesterday we drove to Roxburgh... Here’s an accommodation property we passed and I love their beautiful native Olearia hedge, presently fronted with Agapanthus that are in flower. Central Otago, New Zealand.

White Bales

White wrapped bales in fields. Old Coach Road, as we drove to Clinton, 22 January. New Zealand. I can't help imagining they're arranged in readiness for the imminent arrival of a bride and bridegroom!

Dark Green

Dark green letterbox. Nearby, on the opposite side of the road.. dark green bales in a field. Old Coach Road, as we drove to Clinton, yesterday. Clutha / Southland, New Zealand.

Eight goats are fully visible and two are unseen behind the two big hay bales.... Continue Reading →

Country Road

Here's a new intersection but still on our country drive of 01 January. First up is a gravel road, lined on one side with a long line of our native flax plants and they're in flower hence the tall stalks. After that are three photos of swirly field patterns. We're well into summer now and... Continue Reading →

Old Timer

We went out for a country drive this morning, exploring some roads we hadn't travelled before. When we were well through our trip we came across this old building that appears to have been a farmhouse. Weatherboard house with corrugated iron roof. The front lower level has had its weatherboards removed and looks like it's... Continue Reading →

Blue Door, Church

As we drove home Nigel made a stop at the fuel station in Clinton so I hopped out and wandered up the road to take a few photos of a church I like to keep an eye on. Something's afoot there but I don't know what - therefore I don't know the fate of the... Continue Reading →
