Hips meet Blue Bloods

Beautiful blue agapanthus flowers that I found further up our street this morning. I love the blue buds and with this particular plant, rose hips had invaded one of the blue blooms. Tapanui, West Otago, New Zealand.

Pink Paws

By the time I reached the Australia garden at Dunedin Botanic Garden yesterday the light was already high-key but nevertheless these kangaroo paws still look bright and colourful in the photo, as indeed they were. One of my favourite flowering plants! Dunedin, New Zealand.

Storm Clouds

Storm clouds over Tapanui last night. Not captured: lightning in the very dark cloud layer down the end of the street. Amazingly, we didn't get the expected downpour. West Otago, New Zealand.
