Autumn Rainbow
After an appointment I walked out to find a wonderful rainbow - it's hung about for hours. These pics were taken from home. It changes continually depending on the sun/drizzle levels. Fades away.. returns. Fun!
Beauty and the Beast
These photos are from an exhausting bush walk we did on Friday 31 March from which I'm still in recovery! As we climbed I spotted many small treasures along the way, most often in the way that light was catching ferns, mosses and foliage to good effect.
Storm Clouds
Storm clouds over Tapanui last night. Not captured: lightning in the very dark cloud layer down the end of the street. Amazingly, we didn't get the expected downpour. West Otago, New Zealand.
All Yellow
Except those that aren't. We were driving back from Central Otago via Moa Flat and through Edievale at which point I asked Nigel to pull over. We had a pretty heavy snow shower this morning and the street landscape is looking like a christmas card scene. New Zealand. Text... Continue Reading →
Fuzzy Buds, Beautiful Blooms
Robust buds and blooms on this Magnolia tree in Gore Gardens, 18 September 2022. Very messy form, but magnificent magenta blooms - a real stand-out in the early Spring garden. A real bright spark!
Up and Down
Up there, down here. Makes sense when ... you read the poem below!
A Blue Day
Wandering aimlessly along a path at Dunedin Botanic Garden I spotted a long line of blue colour through the trees and instantly became way more intentional in my direction, choosing paths that would take me to the lovely blue. 25 March 2022, autumn in New Zealand.
