Autumn Rainbow

After an appointment I walked out to find a wonderful rainbow - it's hung about for hours. These pics were taken from home. It changes continually depending on the sun/drizzle levels. Fades away.. returns. Fun!

Country Road

Here's a new intersection but still on our country drive of 01 January. First up is a gravel road, lined on one side with a long line of our native flax plants and they're in flower hence the tall stalks. After that are three photos of swirly field patterns. We're well into summer now and... Continue Reading →

Blue Door, Church

As we drove home Nigel made a stop at the fuel station in Clinton so I hopped out and wandered up the road to take a few photos of a church I like to keep an eye on. Something's afoot there but I don't know what - therefore I don't know the fate of the... Continue Reading →

Smiley Face Pansies

Smiley-face design in a garden bed of pansies. Yellow pansy faces with blue pansy eyes and smiles! This is a very large round garden bed that serves like a pedestrian round-about or traffic circle. Suspension Bridge (1913)

Late trip today to Millers Flat, Central Otago in order to walk a short track to Horseshoe Bend Bridge, a suspension bridge across the Clutha/Mata-Au River, opened in 1913. I did a photo-post about the bridge with daylight shots at the end of 2019; the post has many photos as well as information about the... Continue Reading →

Wonderland ~01

When we arrived in Oamaru and wandered through the public gardens I spotted a moon gate off to the side and was drawn to it. "This part of the gardens known as Wonderland was officially opened by Sir Leonard Wright on October 31st 1959" ~inscription at the top of the gate. I was pretty taken... Continue Reading →
