Two Shades of Pink

This evening I suggested to Nigel that we make the most of the lovely spring evening and visit Gore to check out hawthorn blossom at Hamilton Park. Wonderful Jumble

A crooked tree, bright azalea flowers and fresh fern fronds fascinated me in the Rhododendron Garden at Dunedin Botanic Gardens on 24 October 2020. This little area was wild and wonderful! New Zealand. Click on any photo to enlarge. Text and photos by Liz; Exploring Colour (2020)

Little Lemon Rose

Found this gorgeous early rose loaded with cute little lemon-coloured blooms in the Jessie Calder Garden (old roses), Queens Park, Invercargill on 17 October 2020. This was the only rose making an impact, others had barely started. Southland, New Zealand. Click on any photo to enlarge Text and photos by Liz; Exploring Colour (2020)

How Good Is Gold?

Bristol Sunset

A contemplation of colour. This morning on Twitter I found a wonderful poem about sunset colours - this particular sunset happened to be in Bristol, UK. In the poem the sunset colours are matched with sources they could have been derived from here on earth. Let's look at some natural colour sources before enjoying the... Continue Reading →
