Clinton has sunflowers! On arrival this morning we found this big field of sunny faces. Nice welcome to town! Clutha District, New Zealand.
A weathered but wonderful playground at Black Gully Reserve, near Tapanui. West Otago. New Zealand. 28 December.

Into The Blue
Into the blue! Southland, New Zealand. 29 December 2022.
As I write it is the evening of January 06 here in New Zealand. The rural triangle intersection we found yesterday. Photos by Nigel, except the last one by me (my picture of the old kettle). Clutha District, New Zealand.
Driving through Tuapeka Mouth yesterday I saw all these wrapped bales in a farm field and immediately thought of Yayoi Kusama's art, her infinity rooms. Clutha District, New Zealand.
Road Not Taken (Before)

Storm clouds over Tapanui last night. Not captured: lightning in the very dark cloud layer down the end of the street. Amazingly, we didn't get the expected downpour. West Otago, New Zealand.
This morning while travelling locally, I spotted pillar-shaped clouds hovering over a row of attractive amenity trees in a farming landscape. By the time Nigel had turned around and found a place to stop the cloud pillars were collapsing but it still offered an attractive scene. Between Tapanui and Crookston, West Otago, New Zealand.
Blue Door, Church
As we drove home Nigel made a stop at the fuel station in Clinton so I hopped out and wandered up the road to take a few photos of a church I like to keep an eye on. Something's afoot there but I don't know what - therefore I don't know the fate of the... Continue Reading →
