Of All Stripes

Glorious colours! Multi-striped field of tulips, Edendale. [***This field was on the opposite side of the gravel country road from where I took the first two photos of the pink tulip field] ~Mon 17 Oct. Southland, New Zealand.

***Update, 19 Oct. Correction: the striped field of tulips below was alongside a different road, a short drive away.. it was the first field of tulips that we found.

    1. You’re very welcome Tanja! Would you like to see another post with four pics taken at the (very bright) far-end? I’ve just finished preparing it and will post it straight away if you get back to me 🙂

      1. Oh, yes they wood. My dad raised beef cows for awhile when I was growing up, and their escapes caused more than a few $ damage to neighbors’ gardens. Cows’ nosiness is much more intense than their intellect would suggest 🤣. And their ability to follow their noses to tasty crops.

      1. I never noticed scent from ours, either, but of course a couple of dozen in a garden might not be enough. Now that I think of it, I’ve never heard of a perfume that’s tulip-scented, either.
