That’s a beauty, Liz, and so nice with a bench where you can contemplate the view. Or maybe it should be turned toward the tree 😃

Oh so pretty! It will be a long time before we see any here – but worth looking forward to!

When spring finally arrives at last, it does exceed expectations (assuming you get a ‘good’ spring).

I thought magolias only came in white (or maybe with a tinge of pink). Thank you for expanding my vision.

In NZ we have the Jury family! The late father Felix, and then Mark the son. You might enjoy a look at this page Madeline, lovely photos of different gorgeous magnolia blooms they developed: https://jury.co.nz/jury-plants/jury-magnolias/

These are so beautiful. I had no idea. In Michigan, we have what I call Tulip trees (because I think it is too cold here for magnolias). I will have to do a little more digging.

Tulip tree is unusual and very special! I took a few nice photos of tulip tree flowers and foliage in Dec 2021 when we were in Clyde, and put them in this Jan 2022 post: https://exploringcolour.wordpress.com/2022/01/05/liriodendron/
