These are the last photos from Ranfurly, taken during a wander around streets of the town while I was filling in time. They were taken 12/13 March which is early autumn here in New Zealand. Ranfurly is a town in Central Otago.

Like other readers of your post, I simply adore the wheely fence, but unlike Tanja I’ve never seen anything similar anywhere in the world. A few of these would certainly be an asset in the UK!

Very interesting!!! I’m curious now about the distribution of wheely fences 😀

I will add yet another comment about the wheely fence. Interestingly, this style seems to span the world, as I have seen it in both Europe and the US. Apparently it has universal appeal.

That’s a fun fence with the wagon wheels, and the crab-apples along the white picket fence make a nice edge, too.

Cool shots, Liz. I absolutely love the wheel fence–so creative and fun.

Me too. I walked right up to them to check they were genuinely old and found they were the ‘wheel deal’ 😀

The “wheel deal?” I love it–my kind of humour. 🙂

It always feels rather strange to see your autumn photos when we are in spring (actually early summer now). Looks like you’ve had some glorious weather with those wonderful blue skies. Love the cartwheel fence – great recycling!

Had great weather thru much of autumn but now we’re very much into winter, 2nd snow yesterday. Weather now is generally grey, cloudy, cold and, of late, rather wet.
