Namaste, Ms. Liz! I love the Tuatara bike rack! It is so funny, LOL! I would like to have a small one for my bike and 2 scooters. Thank you and Bye!

What a cool bike rack! I bet kids going into the library fall in love with it! 🙂

Hope so! Haven’t seen a bike parked in it yet though, people still seem to be using the old one. Perhaps this looks too arty and flash?!

Maybe they are a bit unsure of it ’til they see others using it. Someone has to go first!

We only make occasional visits to Invercargill but I’ll be watching to see what happens!

Brilliantly inventive and really good that it’s outside the local cathedral of learning (aka library).

Yes! that’s when I noticed it – walking out of the library and I was delighted to find it there. As was my OH when I pointed it out.

Very creative but those storm drains are a sprained ankle waiting to happen. Nice metal work.

Do you mean with women wearing high heels? ~more likely to be wearing Western boots in this southern city! And unlikely to walk just here, especially now the bike rack forms a barrier. That said, I sure hope nobody does trip over! (I did get a 2nd opinion from Nigel and he agrees it’s unlikely). That said, Nigel added that Councils in NZ are always putting dangerous things in the pavement. And I’d add that maintenance is often shoddy..rough, uneven surfaces are common.

I am sure I could find a way to trip. 🙂 Then one would have to worry about landing on the scutes. 🙂 Now I am sounding like a corporate lawyer instructing a restaurant to warn people about spilling their hot coffee on their lap. 😀

I guess that critter only needs two feet, since there are only two pedals on a bicycle!

This post will be saved for Benjamin and he will be positively ecstatic! A “Gem Sleepover” is happening this Saturday after his karate lesson and I cannot wait to see the reaction as this is read. Thank-you!
