These look like lily of the valley (and so I checked–they are “a close relative.”) Lovely.

Oh yes, lily-of-the-valley grows fine in our region. It was already established in the parking area of a property we owned for a short while in the far south of the South Island. Love the fabulous scent of lily-of-the-valley!
