You’ve experienced problems with them eating the blue hostas? Just got a (hazy) feeling that I’d heard ages ago that they don’t go the blue ones as much as the green .. I wonder?
I don’t know – but I think I have a hazy memory of hearing that too. (There is at least one hosta that has thicker leaves and doesn’t attract slugs so much.) The hostas I had were green and yellow & green and apparently very tasty! I will probably try again but get some advice before choosing another. I love the almost quilted look of the leaves. 🙂
Yes, unfortunately the hugest ever, at 8,000 cases last week, down to below 4,000 this week but still astounding numbers for such a small island. We are keeping our distance from everyone. Nature is all we talk to now 💚☘️🙏
That’s an especially lovely hosta – I love those sorts of blue-y shades. Unfortunately the slugs would turn it into lace here!

Lovely. We have this species, or one very similar, and it is our favorite. It is especially lovely with the morning dew.

Wow, thank you Tracy! I think it was overcast at the time and these hosta leaves were glowing under the trees and shrubs 🙂
