Too cold to think about beach walks here – but makes me think of many years ago walking on a tiny beach near our home in Scotland. It was an extremely cold winter day and the sand seemed frozen in place – wouldn’t have thought it possible but apparently it was. Brrr!
A barefoot walk on the beach sounds absolutely delightful on a morning that is starting out below freezing, about 28 degrees F (minus 2 degrees Celsius).
A lovely composition with an inviting path through the dunes! I can feel that warm sand 😀.

Frozen sand, wow! Sometimes get snow right down to the beach in the south of NZ, that always seems pretty odd to me 🙂

I think the sand probably had a layer of ice crystals from rain – can’t imagine seawater freezing! It was one of the coldest winters we had there.
