A wander along a peaceful path, tranquil respite from uncertainty and anxiety. Particularly thinking of American friends right now.

Hawthorn Blossom

How lovely. Most of ours are white, but I love to see the pink ones.

Beautiful pink images and lovely sentiments, Liz. Plenty of anxiety to go around here, on many fronts. I particularly like your second the last image, closeup of those blooms.

Thank you! Now that I actually have a basic built-in zoom lens I’m trying to remember to use it!

Beautiful. One of my grandmothers had a Paul’s Scarlet Hawthorn growing next to her house, I think it was her favorite flowering tree. She planted one for my parents, when they got their house

I believe ‘Paul’s Scarlet’ is the very colourful blossom we see here too. There’s lots of white, and all sorts of white/pink tints in between. I described one as ‘strawberry milkshake’ to Nigel the other day hehe!

oh yes, very good! And now I’m wishing I had a milkshake!

I–and I’m sure my countryfolk–really appreciate the serenity you’re sending out, Liz. At this point it looks like it could go either way, but I’m hoping and praying for sanity to prevail.

America drives me crazy! I tear my hair out at all the madness and at the same time feel lots of sympathy for the anxiety so many people are suffering right now. Hoping and praying with you Gary!

Oh I do understand Candice … thinking of you! I’d love to visit Canada some day – but not in winter. I’ll bet mid to late spring is a really nice time to visit!
