Landing in Daffodils Today was a beautiful day to see daffodils at the historic Weatherstons Brewery ruins near Lawrence. Sadly a lady slipped on the daffodil hillside and badly fractured her ankle so the Rescue Helicopter arrived to collect her. New Zealand. Click on the photo to enlarge. Unfortunately, too much rain has kept the roads impassable three years in a row — maybe next spring will work. An ankle fracture’s no fun. My mother broke hers in two places and it took five months to heal — but it did heal, and she was nearly 80 when it happened. Here’s the (now) amusing detail. She’d come for a visit in early January, broke her ankle, and was with me until May. We both had a lot of adjusting to do! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Great image!
