Driving back from Lawrence via Tuapeka on Saturday we came across these lovely trees in the rural landscape. Nigel had stopped to take a photo of some willows so I asked him to take photos of these trees too – some kind of poplar trees. Taken 21 September.

or ‘such beautiful stillness’, even! Still waking up here!

So beautiful stillness, such a quite nostalgia in the colours, almost like they are about to walk away silently proud of what they will leave in the wake of their exodus

The feeling of serenity really comes across in the photos, which I’m very happy about because that was the reality and beauty of that particular moment where everything came together in perfect harmony.

It certainly did, well done to you both. On the other hand my message was rather unharmonious in its spelling, even quite instead of quiet! 🤭🤗😘

It’s lovely light and those trees make a nice wall at road’s edge.

A lovely shape to those trees and interesting they are so close to the road.

I love being able to see through the trees at this time of year!

I love the moment when the trees reawaken in spring. 🙂 We have some kind of poplar trees in the field on the other side of the main road – I wonder if they were planted as a shelter belt.

I really like, you tested different frames
The first shows a curve, which we follow from the eye to the horizon

Your observation of the curve and its effect is lovely. Thank you!

The light’s beautiful. I like the gracefulness of the trees’ shapes, too.
