Photos taken 05 September 2019 (the last photos from our visit to Oamaru).
Early spring bulbs flowering by a woodland path.
Nigel walking along the path. Bulbs were flowering all along the path.
We walked as far as this blaze of yellow daffodils. Taken by Nigel.

Lovely images of all those bulbs in bloom, Liz! Surely daffodils are one of the best parts of a spring garden.
“Pond Reflections” is a gorgeous capture, Nigel!

More daffodils have appeared in our own garden too. Nice to see there’s some variation in the types that the previous occupants planted.

I was hoping to get some bulbs in bloom yesterday though now were available. No doubt missed the boat. Lovely capture of the daffodils.

Shame you missed out. There’s lots of daffodils blooming in gardens and along roadsides in our area now. Even appearing in our own garden 🙂

A very nice public garden, masses of daffodils are undeniably cheering, and there’s something about seeing willow trees reflected in a pond.

Willows are starting to green now. Just this morning Nigel took photos of weeping willows near the river in Gore because we thought they looked so pretty by the river as we drove by. I asked him to try and get a “By the rivers of Babylon” kind of shot 🙂

Thank you! Many years ago we spent our honeymoon in Italy, including Christmas. Very cold but we drank lots of hot chocolate.. never tasted better! Very beautiful and the streets are quiet at that time – even in Venice! We had a week in Venice (a month in Italy in total).

I’m planting daffodils at the moment so this is an incentive to keep going and get it finished. Love the pond photo – what a beautiful garden! 🙂

Good luck with the daffodils! When they flower you’ll be pleased you made the effort. The public gardens at Oamaru are incredible for a smaller town, love visiting them.

I smiled when I read September described as ‘early spring’ 🙂 The daffs are beautiful! My favourite spring (ie May, here) flower!
