Colours and Decor

The Frost Pot in Roxburgh, Central Otago, New Zealand. As per my last post, this shop has only been open for seven weeks and was a really nice surprise for us when we visited on Friday 12 April 2019 (NZ autumn). Nigel was a keen photographer this day and did a great job!

Blackcurrant and coconut gelato topped with NZ Berry Fusion sorbet. The first shot is a candid photo (sneakily taken while I was focussed on loading my spoon with two flavours for a photo).

  1. As our weather warms up, I am sure to be consuming more ice cream and your gelato/sorbet combination looks heavenly, Liz. I love the decor of The Frost Pot. In my area, so many of the ice cream (and coffee) shops are parts of big chains and their decor lacks the personality of “your” ice cream shop.

  2. I think it took me about two seconds to spot the jar of fudge in the top photo – and then you flaunt your gelato/sorbet! How will I survive??? It’s a good think that I’m going out for lunch in a little while and that I know I’ll be having a nice big slice of coffee cake afterwards. LOL! 🙂

    1. I’m reading this hours later so I hope you enjoyed that fabulous slice of coffee cake! I also love to eat coffee cake (which is curious because I’m not really that keen on coffee as a drink!)
