We found these beautiful hydrangea flowers when we visited Gore Gardens on 20 December 2018. It was amazing to see varying shades of pink and blue blooms on the bushes.
Ann Mackay from Suffolk UK published a colourful and informative hydrangea post only a couple of hours ago and it prompted me to get mine published! I really enjoyed your post Ann 🙂

I think so too Candice. Not long after I posted this, Ted Jennings (South Carolina) put up a photo of a Roseate Spoonbill. I was impressed with the very pastel soft mix of pink and blue in the photo – much more subtle than in the hydrangeas. Thanks, Liz! The top one is in my garden, so there’s likely to be a lot more photos of that one…. 🙂 The blue one is amazingly blue – I’ve never seen anything quite like that one before.

There seems to be a much greater variety of hydrangeas in NZ now than when I was a child. I find them beautiful these days, in all their forms!

These mop head Hydrangeas always remind me of my lovely Gran, who had mounds of them in her garden.

That must have been lovely. There seemed to me to be hydrangeas everywhere when I was a kid and I totally took them for granted! I appreciate them so much more now!
