Beautiful spring blossom from New York! No, I’m not travelling (oh, I wish I was) but these photos are from a fabulous blog-post that came through on Sunday, 13 May NZ-time and I requested permission to share them here so that you’d get to see them too.
If you’re into architecture, specifically historic Arts and Craft style homes, I recommend you pay a visit to the original blog-post – I’m only sharing the flower photos. To see the photos of the lovely houses you’ll need to go to:

They’re lovely, and a nice share. π π I mostly know Susan for her interest in architecture.

Thank you so much! I was amazed to see your comment as I’d just read the comment you’d left at Jude’s post of the dazzling ranunculus! They are so beautiful!

I wasn’t familiar with your blog and came to be nosey. π π If I have time and something catches my eye I like to, and I wanted to ‘explore colour’ too. π

I feel honoured you visited, I’ve seen your name on comments at various blogs (I really like ‘restlessjo’ – wonderful name). Thanks for looking around and I hope you come again! Best, Liz

I’ve got a grey autumn and winter to get through before enjoying spring so these photos were a real treat for me! Have you shaken off winter yet?

Yup, finally! The trees are green, the birds are back, and the temperatures have risen. We jumped straight from winter to summer this year, with very little spring-like weather.

It must be great to leave winter behind and embrace summer, although a shame that spring passed you by like that!

Pink Dogwood is a favorite of mine ever since having them in the yard of my childhood home. Beautiful photos of beautiful flowers. Benjamin says they are “pretty”, but wants to go back to the “eyes” post. Thank-you!

Hahaha, I didn’t think Benjamin would spend long on the blossom! He’s probably seeing plenty of the real thing anyway unlike me stuck in an unrelentingly boring grey and often rainy autumn!

Very nice. Actually a walk down memory lane. Once upon a time, in a previous life, I lived there for awhile.

Thanks for sharing that Ted. When I published it I remembered that you’d lived in NY sometime and thought the post might interest you. Did you live in this particular area, Douglaston?

Oh yes. For a few years I lived right there. I know the buildings, walked my dog all around them. I ultimately moved back into Manhattan because it was easier to get to work. Small world.
