Think about it … there is no easy answer to this question! Negativity threatens to overwhelm us and its easy to feel swamped with all the political problems, social issues and environmental concerns.
I was reflecting on these things earlier in the week and found myself thinking about the Beauty that I’ve discovered since joining the WordPress Community (May 2017). Art, photography, poetry and philosophy have been an inspiration to me.
From these thoughts an idea was born … to approach selected Blog Authors who clearly have an appreciation of Beauty and are gifted writers, and ask if they’d be willing to contribute a guest post on this subject. I’m keen to include a range of different perspectives.
Happily, the response has been very positive and the series of guest posts on “Beauty” are to begin tomorrow! More posts will be forthcoming but not to a particular schedule.
I feel very honoured that Harold Davis has kindly agreed to contribute the first post On Beauty and Art which will be published on this site Saturday morning New Zealand time, 23 September.
“HAROLD DAVIS is a professional photographer and digital artist whose work is widely collected. He is the author of many bestselling photography books, including The Photographer’s Black & White Handbook, Achieving Your Potential As a Photographer, Photographing Flowers, The Photoshop Darkroom, and The Way of the Digital Photographer.
According to Rangefinder Magazine, “Harold is a man of astonishing eclectic skills and accomplishments.” Harold is a Zeiss Lens Ambassador and has been recognized as a Moab Master for his handcrafted fine-art prints. He is a popular workshop leader.”
Harold’s website is Digital Field Guide.
