Introducing “SO”, my husband, who’s taken a fair few of the photos I’ve posted. Nigel is the sort of LA who’s really interested in gardens and plants. As far as his practice is concerned, he’s working hard on building his client base in the agricultural sector, working with other agricultural researchers and farmer clients. He wants to help farmers manage a profitable farm operation while still achieving good environmental outcomes. He is often involved with other rural design too such as lifestyle blocks and public community spaces (activity parks, public reserves and camping sites). He sometimes does large subdivision planning and industrial site design, and he has a particular interest in sustainable, long-term stormwater solutions.
Why am I telling you this?ย Well, I’m helping Nigel get his blog started and if you have an interest in the environment, plants, landscape design, sustainability, climate change (and how we respond to it) then I invite you to visit his blog and “follow” – and that’ll encourage him to get a move on and start publishing posts ๐
Meantime, today was a perfect spring Sunday and we had a great time walking around Dunedin Botanic Garden and then heading out to Larnach Castle Garden. I took a few photos of Nigel – you can see how much he’s enjoying being out in the gardens and looking at plants!

We both enjoy walking and seeing wildlife but lack the time, patience, discipline, knowledge and photographic gear!

I’m following now… so I’ll need something to read soon ๐๐
I was so excited to get my blog started!
I wish the hubby luck in his new digs. It’s not the easiest to change… I’m slowly going towards horticulture therapy, my blog will reflect that change also.
Good luck!
